Cut, beaten but won't give up

Well did a picture like this not to long ago and well I've been meaning to learn how to use the blood tools on my photoshop for ages and actually do a bit more of a darker pic.

My idea and inspiration came from how I have been feeling recently with the crap going on with my parents, even If I feel beaten and down i've got to keep on going.

Now I've really gone to town on poor karl here.
His glasses are gone, been smashed while in battle, cuts and grazes and also mud and blood rubbed into his furr.
I really have tried to show in this pic that karl is pretty damn screwed but he won't give up no matter the cost.


I hope I've done alright with this and be warned I'm gonna try to experiment with poses a bit more, so expect so screw ups on arms and hands LOL! but I need to push myself more.

Also PLEASE!!!! any feedback or critique on this would really mean alot mainly the bloodly beaten up look - is it done right?
